The journey to NSLS induction involves completing a series of meticulously designed steps to enhance personal and professional growth. Upon accepting their nomination, members embarked on the Steps to Induction: Orientation, Leadership Training Day, Speaker Broadcasts, and Success Networking Teams. Each step integrates our leadership development curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience.
From Orientation, where members are introduced to their campus chapter, to Leadership Training Day, focusing on self-discovery and goal-setting, to Speaker Broadcasts featuring world-renowned leaders, and Success Networking Teams that foster accountability and peer support, every stage builds toward achieving NSLS-exclusive benefits. The journey culminates in the Induction ceremony, a celebration, and an official welcome into the NSLS community.
May 3rd marked the Induction of 145 students from the autumn and spring semesters of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Hunter Hammock, who co-founded the chapter in 2012 and recently earned his PhD, proudly passed the advisory torch to Dr. James Williams, the new Faculty Director of the prestigious Haslam Leadership Scholars at UTK.
Rowan College of South Jersey honored students from the Cumberland and Gloucester campuses at their NSLS Induction Ceremony. Inducted NSLS members celebrated with a captivating music performance of "Rise Up" by Isabelle Nicholas, Miss Stars & Stripes.
The University of Phoenix hosted the largest virtual Induction of any NSLS chapter, with nearly 1,000 new members joining the ceremony. Corey Andrew Powell was the MC, and inspiring speeches from Chapter President Timothy James, UOPX Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. John Woods, and NSLS Founder Gary Tuerack marked this event as a monumental achievement for the chapter, setting a new standard for virtual engagements.
In a heartfelt farewell, St. John's University - Staten Island held its final NSLS Induction Ceremony before the campus closed. The evening was filled with nostalgia and pride as the chapter celebrated its rich history, presented Impact Awards, and inducted its last group of members. The ceremony featured a keynote speech and a special proclamation honoring the chapter's remarkable contributions, creating a memorable send-off for all involved.
Indiana University Northwest celebrated the Induction of 22 members in its first in-person ceremony since the pandemic. We pridefully acknowledge the dedication of Student Presidents Izabella, Danielle, and Yousef, who diligently revitalized in-person events and drove chapter engagement.

The chapter honored seven faculty and staff with Impact Leader Awards and recognized the ONU President with an honorary membership.
