Dear Member,
It's the first week of June, and soon we will welcome the official start of summer 2021. With so many destinations and establishments beginning to open again, I'm sure you are excited to return to enjoying the activities of the season with family and friends. As you immerse yourself in the sunshine and carefree days, remember it's essential to keep thinking about the life you want and how to prepare for the future you envision.
That preparation comes in many forms, from your choice to attain Advanced and Executive Certification to applying for internships that give you the real-time, hands-on training that will make all the difference in your career. The NSLS prides itself on helping you strive toward reaching future success.
One of the greatest assets as an NSLS member is the extended community. You are part of a national network of 1.4 million leaders all looking to build a better world. Engaging with your fellow members can create lifelong bonds, both personally and professionally.
Whether you're a recent graduate or still have time left to complete your degree, the desire is the same —to become the best version of yourself and a standout to future employers. Both those things are determined by what you do in the present. So, I want you to have fun in the sun this summer — you've earned it, but at the same time, it's ok if you look to the horizon and keep your eyes on the prize.
