The NSLS Foundation encourages honor society alumni to nurture lifelong leadership skills, and the Alumni Award recognizes those who are living the values of the NSLS in their lives and careers beyond campus.

The purpose of this grant is to support higher-education endeavors such as special projects and research, as well as to provide assistance for academic expenses.
The NSLS encourages our members to strive to be the healthiest versions of themselves. Whether that means managing stress and self-care, staying active through daily movement, or pursuing certification as a yoga instructor or personal trainer, the NSLS supports students' holistic well-being. The Healthy Living Grant provides financial assistance to aid individuals on their unique wellness journey.
The NSLS Foundation recognizes the “Little Leaders” in the lives of our members who could benefit from support for a special interest, academic program, or activity. The Little Leaders Award helps a member's child, sibling, cousin, or family friend pursue a passion while growing into a future leader who makes a better world.
This scholarship is available exclusively to members who are continuing their leadership journey as a registered participant of our Executive Leadership Certification. Through the completion of this program, members shift from being the mentee to being the mentor and from practicing leadership to living it. The Executive Leadership Certification explores topics like inclusive leadership, unconventional solutions, and expanding perspective. Further, students are responsible for planning, organizing, and completing their own NSLS Better World Project as a program capstone.
New members are joining the NSLS every day, and the NSLS Foundation recognizes that many of these members will make an impact on their chapters, communities, and their own lives almost immediately. The New Member Scholarship honors excellent students in their first semester as NSLS members.
The NSLS Foundation recognizes the vital importance of online education opportunities for today’s students, whether they're remotely pursuing a degree or simply taking classes to learn and better their futures. The Online Member Scholarship awards students who are enrolled in an online chapter of the NSLS.
This scholarship is available exclusively to NSLS members who are registered for the Advanced Leadership Certification. This program allows members to continue their leadership journey, shifting their focus self-growth to service of others as they motivate and empower those around them. The Advanced Leadership Certification explores topics like diversity of leadership styles, emotional intelligence, and leveraging personal strengths, while also outlining how to identify and secure a mentor. Further, students acquire the skills needed to navigate challenging situations that emerge across teams through experiential, in-the-moment problem solving.
The United by Purpose: Building Equitable Leaders Scholarship supports the NSLS’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Our organization aims to develop leaders who foster a sense of belonging for everyone, with careful attention to the ways race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and socioeconomic status can impact both who has a seat at the table and who feels welcome to be there. We support our entire community as we work alongside all who are adversely affected every day in large and small ways by forms of systemic injustice.
This scholarship recognizes NSLS members who are using their voices to empower themselves and others to make the world more equitable. The NSLS United By Purpose: A Challenge for Equality for All Scholarship provides financial support to teams of NSLS members who are engaged in efforts to meaningfully create or promote more inclusive and just communities.

NSLS Chapter Advisors are vital to the development, perpetuation, and strength of the NSLS mission. Not only are they mentors and leaders to the Executive Board and local chapter members, but they also serve as liaisons with campus administration. Each year the NSLS recognizes one Advisor who truly exemplifies the NSLS mission and goes above and beyond expectations. Additional standout Advisors are honored with a Distinguished Advisor Award.
